Southport Red
Last night's display was depressingly familiar to the poorer showings last season. We simply had no midfield. When we were defending we just lumped it forward, hoping that Brooker would get it and when they were attacking they just came stright through or round.City could not keep the ball, is it REALLY that hard to pass to a team mate? Huddersfield were able to do it OK.Stewart looked class with some lovely touches, he is our Sheringham but until and unless we get a midfield it will come to nothing as he and Brooker (Bridges also) were starved of decent ball. As things stand, Henry and Owen wouldn't score in our team One bright spark apart from Stewart's class and fight was Cotterill, he looked like he could really scare them and wasn't afraid to beat his man - why was he substituted? One last thing, 7 new players, a totally non functioning Huddersfield PA and stupid black numbers on red shirts do not help player recognition any. Players were coming an and going off and from a distance, with so many new faces in the team, it was not always easy to know who was on adn who was off.We need a ball winning/holding midfielder, how about that Northern Ireland International who plays for QPR? What was his name again?

What was his name again?←His name was Doherty, you remember the unfit person who couldn't accept our present manager, the one who needlessly dropped the nut on a Wycombe player, the smoker and drinker who loved us so much he couldn't play for the manager. the one who was being sick at half time last night(according to the QPR website)Thank god he's gone, Now if you would have said Scott Brown......................... frenchred
Is that for real? Now THAT has cheered me up ←Yes its true! Hollowhead mentions it but then in fairness he does say there was no way he was going to be brought off! Had a great game by all accounts.I am not a Tinnion fan by any stretch of the imagination but I did support and agree with him getting shot of Doherty and Coles

Perhaps he will get a game soon

Get the players in to give quality ball to the forwards and offer more protection for our defence. I commented that our midfield was rubbish after the Doncaster game and got really slated for that comment on the BCFC RivalsNet forum by the self proclaimed experts.
