Just wondering if anyone can think of a player who did well at a club as a player for a long period of time go on to be a succesfull manager with the club? Its been tried a number of times (souness - liverpool, hoodle - spurs, etc) just think we need a manager from outside, Tinnion is a top guy, just not good enough as a manager. We need BIG changes soon, this just isnt acceptable !!!!

To be successful you need to be able to take risks. He knows the club so well he won't take risks (well not in his mind anyway). It's never going to work.

Brain is a yes man. No need some one with a cutting egde, will take risks, full of on pitch passion, high motivator, good coaching skills, and someone who will do well. I don t think BT has it in him. And has none of the above. Time to wake up the layed back BS3. Do it now. Still time to settle in, and go up.

STEVE BRUCE - Birmingham

Top defender in his day and a top flight manager starting his managerial status in the lower league

That's true but Bruce benefitted from not being international class. For years while all his team mates were winning caps he'd be back at Man U learning from the coaches while working with young players.
