Tactical Genius

So the tin man spends pre season building competion in all departments; ' I now have two quality players for all area's) Three games in and we have not started with the same front two; yet he's say's the team needs time to gel..quality!

When he's called on to make the tough decisions and choose two from three up front. tins bottles it and plays Stewart left midfield. something none of his previous premiership managers could see! Tactical genius and excellent man management skill to boot! (That's sure to motivate Grant Smith!)

So not content with his little pearl, when things don't work out the tactical genius of the tin man can always be relied on to come to the rescue. em... No! With Brooker and Bridges chasing aimless passes from midfield, it was obvious neither would last the pace of the game. So what do we do; take off Stewart, (now we have no options up front!) brings on Murray, and moves Cotterill to the left midfield, leaving Smith to warm the bench. 'That's top banana' thinks tins and hey presto with 15 minutes to go Bridges is blown out. Not that Stewart would have made much difference with the high aimless long ball 'service' which has becomes tins trademark. The only effective pairing for this system would be giraffe and a pelican!

We have some quality players and some good young talent, (albeit overhyped by tins) tins is tactically illiterate. Effort and commitment come from players and there is plenty on show. But motivation tatics and man management come from the manager, all of which are sadly lacking. Suggest SL gets tins and his backroom staff in for some extra training and gives the guys who chased shadows at Bournmouth the day off!

Can't stop laughing - would be even more comical if it were not true sad.gif Good post to tied me over until the first episodes of 'Lost' are repeated on CH 4 in less than an hour. 'Lost' that's what we are in a tactical wilderness.

Tins has brought in good players and has managed to make them play really bad. How the hell do you do that? He must get a prize for that surely. I do not know of many managers who would be able to achive such a thing.

But the tin man has managed just that. Well done BT. you have excellent coaching skills after all.
