Dolman Block B
After Bournemouth , ive concluded this. Scott Goldbourne a must at left fullback. (very impressive for his 10mins sat) Micheal Bridges not 100% fit , so great to have on the bench, capt J Smith a chance at left full back. A Russell in if fit, G Smith back in left side of midfeild, and of course ,"the main man",MARCUS, back where he should be Mr Tinman up front!!! This would be my team for the Port Vale game.Who agrees? PHILLIPS J SMITH HEYWOOD PARTRIDGE GOLDBOURNE COTTERILL SCUSE RUSSELL/BROWN G SMITH STEWART BROOKER SUBS, BRIDGES, + 4 OTHERS

Guest routabout
Yup, that would work for me.No more "... and another aimless punt upfield from Carey.... and City lose posession...."We are also in dire need of some leadership in midfield. I still think Stewart can do a non-striking job, like fox in the hole, or similar. But wingers are wingers and Marcus isn't a winger, he's an AM/F C with a bias to the left. Not enough pace for out and out wing, but more than enough awareness and passing ability, to be a provider/link to the front two.Sorry, this was in reply to the original post. But that 3-4-1-2 looks good, as long as Carey STAYS part of that back three and doesn't try notching up his assists tally, by-passing the midfield. Also it is a more compact team meaning little drop downs from brooker or skuse could be won by stewart and brown... i really am proud of my team i should be manager

Portland Bill
Why is everyone putting Cotterill in??? he hasnt served the strikers at all yet this season, we need to get some crosses in ..... please.

Brown will be industrious, but won't provide much service or threat, Skuse will hang around between the D and centre circle sipping his cup of coffee, whilst putting in a few interceptions that anyone with the ability to kick a ball could do.The same team as that, with Russell in place of Skuse, Wilkshire in place of Brown and Goldbourne playing out on the left as a wing back. One possible change I would consider though, is putting G.Smith in the centre in place of Wilkshire, whoever Tinnion feels could do the role better, very tough choice, yeah probably go for Smith actually! Guest marcclifton
Why does it have to be 4 4 2, why not 3 5 3, 3 3 4, 3 1 3 2, I don't think 4 4 2 is working that well
