Port Said Red
I meant to post this at the time but forgot. the approaching game reminded me. I saw Phil Parkinson on TV after their cup game and he said that Non league sides were better off than most 2nd and 3rd div sides, and he felt it was an achievement to beat them! This was he claimed, because they able to attract better players and pay them more than the league sides. I can agree to a certain extent with the 1st point but I was confused about the 2nd. The non-league sides may be well run, but how would that marry up with them paying better wages? What are they doing that the league sides aren't? Surely their revenue streams cannot be higher than the 2nd and 3rd div? If this was the case why would they strive to join us in the league?
