Red under the bed
I thought Scott Golbourne played well under the circumstances. Scott Murray showed glimpses of his past and Steve Brooker worked hard all night.

Red under the bed
Yes. The way he ran back with the ball after scoring the goal, makes me think that he had a point to prove!
BlokeCDP
Agree but also thought Bridges looked up for it when he came on.←Bridges showed hunger and urgency, Fortune on occasion played some good balls. Murray got behind the backs frequently and Golbourne struck an excellent goal and continues to get forward.Still Jilly would have blown them all away
Guest Neo
Easy parking, got served quick, no queue for the pool table, nice hot pie for once, ample empty seats to stretch out legs.Golbourne, Brooker did well. mundz18
you can`t question our ability as footballer`s they all look good on the ball going forward, its just that we need a tommy smith, ron harris norman hunter ect,a bit of steel is what we lack. Luke_Ciderhead
Sounds like there were quite a lot of positives then. We just need to get the best out of these players that want to play for BCFC
madmax
Tony Grant made some good touches, thought he played OK, lacked match practice (sorry, thats a negative).Look forward to our new management team.....did I just say that that!MM
xerox6060
Having seen all the games so far, thats the best and most co-ordinated OFFENSIVE display I have witnessed some good interlinking, a significant increase in crosses and a sign of several understandings developing.Brooker again was strong, Grant Smith promised, Murray showed great endevour and Bridges look eager, while I thought Skuse and Grant generally used the ball well and are worth a 2nd look on Saturday. There U go loads of positives! Niall
Its only a poxy cup and we can now concentrate on the league.....There were some wierd results, :- Cheltenham beating Brentford 5-0- Lincoln trashing Crewe 5-1- Yeovil winning 2-0 at Ipswich- Northampton beating QPR 3-0So we're not alone in our misery. cidersam
We looked good attacking, created quite a number of chances 1 shot of the lien and a few goal mouth scrambles aswell, some nice plays on the right wing with murray looking his old self again. Tony Grant looked good for someone whos not played for a while. Brooker got his head on quite alot of high balls, and bridges looked up for it when he came on.Plenty of negatives to but they aint for this post so wont say them
Redhyde
Everytime Gillespie and Russell don't play the more chances they will be given by the crowd to suceed.Russell is already key to our side and we've never seen him play!
Guest Ron
Fortune was solid mostly, took time on the ball.Carey's crossing was marginally better. We nearly scored from a corner.Bridges was very good.Grant has a good brain on him.Brooker was impressive.Partridge played the best I've seen him, still crap but better. We spent alot of time in their half. Simon Lambley
Sometimes and it's not an excuse for the performance, But these things happen in football,Barnet on a run of wins , confident and playing with the same team that got them promoted. So we could say thay have gelled .also top of their league.I can also remember tinnion putting liverpool out . some times shocks happen..I agree lets TRY and be a bit more positive
Bobo Dave
Good going forward.Fortune got better as the game went on.Murray - glimpses of the old ScottyBridges - got his first goalGolbourne - got his first goal, and was MOM in my opinionTo sum up - attacking play was good, well linked up etc, defending wasn't.But hey, it's a cup game, not aleague game, so what, we lost, I'm personally not worried about - roll on Saturday when we stuff Danny's Boys. downendcity
I'm positive that I will be coming down to Bristol on Saturday for my first game of the season. I'm also positive that it's not looking such a good decision as it did after the PortVale result and , after last nights result , I am positively looking forward to it with trepidation! I may also come past you in Leicester via the A47 ring road and M69 as I am positive that the A14/M6 junction has been a bit of a nightmare recently.
