Guest pogue mahone
...but ponder these questions. 1) Is there anything in the FA regulations against a rich, top-division club giving a cash donation to a poor, non-league club who they are due to play in a cup tie? 2) Should there be? In case anyone missed this, Chelsea gave £25,000 to Scarborough ahead of the FA Cup tie, "for the youth academy". (I think there was another donation as well.) Call me a cynical miseryguts, but it's a great PR stunt for CFC (and a relatively cheap one for them), and if they really cared about the plight of small clubs, they'd put money into some sort of communal fund, rather than randomly tossing a token cheque at one club they happened to be drawn against.
