Guest WillsbridgeRed Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 Mr Chirac and co are chummying up to the Chinese this week, in a bid to sell French arms to the Chinese dictatorship. But then lets be fair, they've never had a problem being the bad guys friend. What annoyed me, was the comments he made about Taiwan - He said they'd be making a "grave error" if they held a referendum on becoming a soverieng country. So much for national determination. It amazes me a country that made so much fuss about UN democracy when it came to Iraq can pander to a chinese government who have an appalling human rights record and try to deny freedom for the Taiwanese.
