chalkeyred
We keep talking about the prospective managers who are being touted for the job, but it strikes me that the accepted problem we have is is both motivational and tactical. My take on it is that the managers deal with the motivation, and oversee the tactical side, leaving the day to day nitty gritty coaching to their Number 2.A quality coach is critical (a la Brian Kidd / Sammy Lee etc) for success, and I was wondering if anyone knew who the prospective managers would be likely to bring with them?Cheers. Red_Mat
I agree. A good manager needs a strong coaching support set-up - and this was perhaps one of Tinnion's failings. The team of Keith Millen, Alan Walsh and Stuart Naylor is hardly comparable with the Liverpool bootroom, is it?It'd be good to see some experienced coaches with some tactical nous coming in.Other than Jim Smith, though, I can't really think of any others like that at the moment...
