a) We were awarded the free kick

b) The ref put on his report that it was for delaying the restart of play

Ah.... right... so he meant as in:

"Whilst I was watching the game last night I observed that Wilkshire was booked. I thought at the time that maybe it was for his appalling dive in the penalty area earlier in the match. However, with the publication of the referee's post-match report that has been sent to the FA, I note that in fact it was for delaying the restart of play"

If that is the case, I stand thoroughly corrected in my orthopaedic shoes.

p.s. from where I was sat parallel to the incident I thought it was a penalty. But that's a minor note in this discussion.
