Nogbad the Bad Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 Having read the other threads about a chant/song for Gary Johnson, how about something short and sweet:"Goldfinger, the man with the Midas touch - WE'RE GOING UP" Could be lengthened, but to me it sums the bloke up just as it is. Or possibly, mix in the old EE, AH, EE, AH...... "Goldfinger, the man with the Midas touch - We're... going.... UP, EE, AH, EE, AH, EE ,AH ,AH......... Gary Johnson's Cider Army" Apt nickmame for GJ either way - if it caught on I can see thousands of gold painted forefingers pointing skywards in the Stands at the Gate...... andy g Posted September 29, 2005 Report Share Posted September 29, 2005 Nice idea - I think it would be great to have something original for a change.Every time we sang 'theres only gary johnson' I was reminded of 'one danny wilson' every time.And lets face it, most of our songs are rip-offs of the same old songs we hear at every ground in the country.(having said that, i havent got any brain-waves of my own at the moment !) Yep, agree but it doesn't fit quite so well. Also GOLDFINGER would be a unique and fitting nickname for GJ.
