Before I make a comment about my headline may I tell you all

about the way I was conned when I was in my teens

Got a temporary job cleaning all the rubbish on a buliding site

temporary work was too last just one week

guy in charge of us said

"do a good job and I'll give you all a permanent job at the end of the week"

well we worked our butts off and what did we get at the end of the week?

he said you all did a good job, but I ain't go no work for you

hardest I have ever worked,at the same time I felt as if I had been conned

So if I was Gary I wouldn't sign any one on a permanent basis

just keep signing them on monthly contracts(I think its a maximum of three months)

get the best of out them and then let them go back from where they came

We have all seen what happens when we sign players on a permanent

basis

Chelsea don't have any loan players and don't seem to be doing too badly- same with Huddersfield etc. I'd have Sankofa anyday if we had a tall centre back (Heywood) next to him. You can't keep on bringing on loan players forever- you need a settled squad, loaning someone in if things get desperate.

Thing about having all your players on loan is, its not financially possible. If you don't buy, you cant sell at a profit to keep the club afloat, and if you don't get anything out of the academy that anyones interested in your what they call stuffed.
