mozo
We've had a few hours to cry into our ciders today. Having come to terms with the fact that we're not going up, and that things are not too rosy at the club right now, next Saturday could be the distraction we need. What better to get the players going than a good run in the FA Cup.We have a brief reason for optimism: we have a home tie against an average opponent (I realise that we are below average, but stick with me on this one). A good second round tie could see our underachieving rabble raise their game a little as it dawns on them that there is the prospect of Chelsea down the gate (should we get a run going). So here I offer you, my friends, a chance to forget about all the misery of recent weeks/months/years......let's get down Ashton Gate on saturday and make the most of the 'nothing to lose' scenario. After all, you never know! Who's up for it?

mozo
But weren't Barnet " average lower division fodder" ?I see the pessimism creeping in already. No need to worry about losing 'cos it wouldn't be the end of the world if we did. If we make the third round it could give everyone a lift.I want some optimism!! Granty
I want some optimism!!That would soon vanish if by some miracle we stayed in the cup until the 3rd round and got tied with Chelsea - I dread to think what the score would be !!
