This will hopefully highlight that some men can also be affected by domestic violence.

If this was the other way round rags such as Rebekah Wade's would be all over it like a rash. As it is I reckon this one will be laughed at and then buried.

In the Sun today, there was a big piece about Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell) being assaulted by his ex-lover, on the same page, in a single column, there was the above story, which was described as a 'fuss about nothing'.

Interestingly, The Sun, edited by the aforementioned Rebekah Wade, has been leading a campaign against Domestic Violence.

What I don't get is why when women get beaten up by partners/boyfriends/husbands, then general opinion is what an awful thing it is, but when the same thing happens to a man i.e. he gets beaten up by his partner, everyone seems to find it slightly amusing, which is really quite shocking. Why should it be funny for one sex and indefensible for another?

Crazy world!
