REDOXO Posted November 8, 2005 Report Share Posted November 8, 2005 A 100 YEARS AND ONLY IN THE TOP FLIGHT TWICE IN THE EARLY 1900s ANDDURING HARRY DOLMANS TIME .I HAVE BEEN A CITY SUPPORTER SINCE MYUNCLE TOOK ME TO SEE A MATCH CITY V ROVERS IN 1939 FOR 50 YEARS I HAVE LIVED IN EXCILE I HAVE A120 MILES RETURN JOURNEY TO WATCHA MATCH. WHAT DISGUSTS ME IN ALL THAT TIME WHENEVER CITY FINDSA PLAYER THAT CAN STRING MORE THAN THREE PASSES TOGETHER HES ON THE TRANSFER LIST GOING BACK TO ROY BENTLEY 1945 TO THE LATESTPLAYERS LITA ,COLES,HILL, DOHERTY, THIS IS THE REASON WE ARE IN THEPOSITION. WITH A CITY AS LARGE AS BRISTOL WITH A POTENTIAL SUPPORTOF 40000 FANS WERE ARE IN DANGER OF GOING DOWN.OUT OF ALL CMPETIONSAND TWO OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE . THE PRESENT DEFENSE HAS GOT MORE HOLES IN IT THAN A COLANDER THE MIDFIELD CONSISTS OF PANSIES AND PUSSIES. THE FOWARD LINE COULD NOT SCORE IF THEY WERE IN A BROTHEL ON THEIR OWN .THIS IS THE FAULT OF THE PRESENT BOARD AND THE QUICKER THEY GO THE BETTER AT THE ANNUALGENERAL MEETING A MOTION OF NO CONFIDENCE SHOULD BE PROPOSED.REDOXOS DAD.Redoxo will take it in the neck if necessary for the oppinions expressed here....! Unfortunately, you're lucky enough to have seen us in the top flight. I don't think I will in my life time and I'm nearly and I'm nearly 22!You never know, we may get there one day God please just for one season, how i'd love it! Redtrojan Posted November 8, 2005 Report Share Posted November 8, 2005 ["A WHENEVER CITY FINDSA PLAYER THAT CAN STRING MORE THAN THREE PASSES TOGETHER HES ON THE TRANSFER LIST GOING BACK TO ROY BENTLEY 1945 TO THE LATESTPLAYERS LITA ,COLES,HILL, DOHERTY," Interesting isn't it how time dulls the memory.I recall how hill and coles were regularly slaughtered on here~ (sometimes completely appropriately)for their dire ball distribution.But now there gone some people seem to recall them having skills that they rarely possessed.Perhaps thats why so many of our players return,as once they've gone everyone recalls the best parts of their game and forgets the worse.Another example of that is the recent christian roberts thread.At times exceptional ,but more often than not a lazy show pony-this season only good enough for the bottom team in this league's reserves-although they'll probably wheel him out friday,as he'll probably be up for playing us on the telly.Perceptions,perceptions interesting things- butplease don't anyone tell me they recall joe Burnell being a cracking attacking midfielder who rarely looked backwards!
