Never to the dark side
Although the premiership is still two years away for us City fans With the planned two break is it worth it If the two week break is the last two weeks in january what happens if the weather is very poor in the first two weeks of january We have just seen the very mild conditions of the very unpredictibly Bristish weather The only benifit for Nationwide clubs is no competion on certain saturdays of the break Be nice if we could have teams not to far from Bristol so we don't have too far to travel
Guest benny
think they try to arrange local (ish) fixtures around christmas/new year time. will welcome the extra attention and coverage the nationwide leagues should receive while the overrated premier league soft lads put there feet up (on golden sandy beaches most probably) UP THE CITY
tompo
What will happen to the FA Cup and Carling Cup?. Rounds 3 and 4 of the FA Cup are played in January as well as any replays. The Carling Cup Semis are also played in January/February. I believe that the Premier League play more games than any similar league in Europe (except for Spain?). Given the unpredictabilty of the British weather the whole idea is a non starter, unless the number of clubs in the Premiership is to be reduced.
