TomBCFCUK
Maybe this shows there is alot of pressure on the guys to perform in league games and they aint up for it! Has savage got a team at the moment because maybe we could get him on a free and still get a loan in!

next_year_I_hope
i got a idea has we cant win a game with a crowd there why don't we play all home games behind closed doors
Guest PaulW
The Skonto side is very weak - this is the first time in their history that they didn't win the Latvian Championship, and they lost 6-1 (!) over 2 legs in the first round of the Champions League qualifying this year to a team called "Rabotnicki".And the Skonto players would have been coasting (an END of season tour) while the trialists would have been really up for itSo I wouldn't read anything into this result. But I bet that Johnson will hype it up.

GrahamC
Apparently Sam Ayorinde plays for Stalybridge Celtic - GJ must be very impressed to bring him in then!It must have been him and Savage that started up front then, someone has said Wring scored but I thought he picked up a bad injury against Rovers reserves recently?Ayorinde played for Stalybridge in 2002 , since then he's been playing in Sweden and China.Desperate, aren't we? The only Skonto goal was scored near the end of the game by Aleksej Višņakovs. Thanks to PaulW for providing the translation.

Not one single Skonto player from last nights game was a starter for Latvia at Euro 2004. Mind you, Visnakovs is quite handy. In fact, the Latvian media wrote that the aim of this end of season tour was to find a buyer for him. Maybe Gary will do his old employer (Indriksons, Skonto owner and President of the Latvian Football Federation) a favour and buy him for City?
