Alex_BCFC
One of the former players I would love to see in a city shirt again...Yes but some other fans want to see players that are good and that will win us games!
Northern Red
Yes but some other fans want to see players that are good and that will win us games! That's the thing, somedays he did look very good, like he could play at a much higher level. Yet in the very next game, he would put in a performance that would look poor in the Sunday League.
bucksred
One of the former players I would love to see in a city shirt again...Or not, went AWOL too much to want him back, sorry. We don't want the past back again.

Red_Mat
Ah, the joys of agents  Bet he's really glad he listened to his agent now eh !?!?MMI bet he is glad he listened - despite having hardly played for two years, he's probably earning at QPR twice what he would have been at the Gate!I don't like him, but you can't really argue with his reasoning... RedTop
If the past few years have taught us anything, it's don't bring player back for a second time. It's the easy route, and those who choose to take it are more than likely looking for an easy life. I'd rather have ambitious players who want to use us as a stepping stone to greater things and are therefore hungry to succeed and impress every time they walk out on the pitch. Lordofthebling
Yep, all valid points. "Burned his bridges," "never recovered"...My main issue is this player has not been replaced on the left wing for nearly two seasons.

Guest alex1089
Why shouldn't we bring a player back a second time???Murray still scores around 8-10goals a season which is good for a player who dosn't play in every game. Carey has found his feet again and is on top form! Why not?
Red Cloud
didn't he spend nearly a year unemployed after leaving us?
red as fcuk
didn't he spend nearly a year unemployed after leaving us?Yeah, my understanding was that Qpr would sign him once he proved his fitness, I'd say he'd have been finacially better off staying at City
