Guest revkev
I hope he gets the support of the FA of Ireland, it won't be an easy task to emulate the successful periods of the past 20 years. A generation of kids are growing up in Ireland believing that they could be the next Roy or Robbie Keane, so football in Ireland has a great future, but it won't happen overnight. It was a stroke of genius to get Bobby Robson to act as consultant to Staunton, I wonder what might have happened had a similar arrangement been offered to Brian Tinnion as the start of his managerial career at City. LSN
Ireland will overtake Wales soon to be nearest rivals for England. Having a quarter of my blood irish I'm glad Staunton is maganer. Strict, hard, irish hero. Much like Stuart Pearce really . . . just not the irish part.
