Meh
Poor team, poor fans. The Battle Droids on Coruscant had more character.
cidercity
I didn't hear 7-1 once. I'm sure if it was the other way around we would have rubbed it in more than they did.Maybe the coaches straight to the ground worked and there was no beer consumed. Admin phantom Posted January 28, 2006 Admin Report Share Posted January 28, 2006 Funny thing about the East End is the more fans that sit in the stand tends to be the quieter they turn out.Maybe it was because they were locked in the stand too early..Whatever the reason... ha ha we won fairly easily to be honest

Luke_Ciderhead
I heard a couple of chants of 7-1, 7-1, 7-1 but yes, most of their noise came before the game kicked off - Hardly surprising given they played like a bunch of donkeys. They still claim to have outsung us though. tompo
Funnily enough Swansea seem to think they outsung us. That and the ref was poor. http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=9...toid=2124016825
Luke_Ciderhead
Ive tried mentioning to them that they may have seemed louder, due to the simple reason that noise levels differ in correlation to ones proximity to the source, but it seems like too much for them to grasp in those parts. Ah well, let them have it. Its the only crumb of comfort theyve got after their team were outclassed.UP THE CITY!!

Ah well, let them have it. Its the only crumb of comfort theyve got after their team were outclassed.UP THE CITY!!First time I've been to AG (bit of a hole).I think you make a valid point about noise levels v proximity.I've read a number of comments on this site about the great atmosphere on saturday. From where we were standing (at least the OB did let us stand), the only singing comingfrom the Bristol fans were a few to our right. If that was a great atmosphere then the rest of the reason must have been particularly morbid.Don't agree about the statement "outclassed", outfought yes but not outclassed. Can't say there was a great deal of classy football played. You deserved your victory as you wanted it more, particularly in the centre of the park.Good luck in your continued relegation fight. southy354
Where I was in the Williams stand (near the atyeo side) I couldn't hear anything from the swansea fans but I could from the ones in the G block.
