madmax
Robbie Williams has purchased a stake in Port Vale Football Club ensuring it's safety. He says it's up to the current board to decide what to do with his stake, which is an unknown amount but thought to be substantial.Fair play to him, surely John Cleese or Tony Robinson can do something like this for us???? Well OK maybe not Tony Robinson.MMhttp://www.port-vale.premiumtv.co.uk/page/...,,10381,00.html

Dollymarie
Does John Cleese support City? He does indeed, if he hadnt been recovering from surgery in LA, there was a possibilty of him attending the ST launch night.

That's a feeble excuse, Long Ashton isn't too far from the Gate, even for a convalescent.............
madmax
That's a feeble excuse, Long Ashton isn't too far from the Gate, even for a convalescent............. :Costumed34: very good. Not a fan of Mr Williams but with £100m in the bank I suppose he could do a lot with that at Port Vale. Watch them end up in the Prem next and do a Wigan, yet another club to overtake us !!

Northern Red
He does indeed, if he hadnt been recovering from surgery in LA, there was a possibilty of him attending the ST launch night. He's always been rumoured to be a fan, but I'm not sure it's been confirmed for definate. There were rumours he supports someone else, very possibly Oxford.

sephjnr
I *had* read somewhere that the remaining shares totalled £250k. The main question being whether or not the money will go on their unfinished stand or a new player...
