I'd have thought..... Jayne/Wayne County & The Electric Chairs 'F##K Off' would have got you going Dr. :)

A great tune DC, but far too industrial language for my sensitive ears.

Sexual Healing by Marvin does it for me too mind...err...sweetie

I have both tracks........ so it say's more about me than you Dr. ?

And back to the thread Jayne!

Not a very 'sexy' track, but it makes me think about my lady: 'Another girl, another planet' - Only Ones

I think that track is classic...... but 'Why Don't You Kill Yourself' was more indicative of the singers personal battle with heroin addiction?

A couple of tracks by Six by Seven and Elbow send a frisson down my spine from time to time.

Bitter Sweet Syphony by The Verve is another.

Also, being a fan of classical:

Beethoven's 7th 2nd movement

Barber's Adagio for strings

Rimsky-Korsakov's Prince Rostislav & Isle of the Dead

and

Shostakovic's 5th

If I was to watch Oasis play Slide Away live or the Stone Roses play Tears live (which I think I probably have) then I'd be pretty caught up in it. None of that sloppy stuff though, I'm far too macho for that!

Hurt - Johnny Cash, incredibly moving song, the Original is bad enough, and hearing that live was amazing, gave me goosebumps all over, but Cash's version especially combined with the video is just so painfully sad it's untrue.

nine Inch nails - And all that could have been

NiN - Something i can never have, i swear trent was crying when singing this live an obviously painful song.

Mazarts Death requiem (mass for the dead) stunningly beautiful piece of music.

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor

I can't wait to see you

Your avatar ain't enough

I can't wait to touch you in the flesh

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor

I can't wait to hear you

Remembering your love

Is nothing without you in the flesh

Went walking one day on the dark Bristol side

Met you with a goat, you were so divine

She said, "Hands off this one sweetie, this boy is mine."

I couldn't resist you - I'm not deaf, dumb, and blind

Doctor, Doctor, Doctor

Now you're out of town

Those goats that you run with

They bring my head down

Ooh Doctor, Doctor

Watch out if I see you

'Cause if you say hello

It'll mean you wanna see me in the flesh

Ooh warm and soft, in the flesh

Ooh close and hot, in the flesh

Ooh

There you go Doc

Blown your stack yet?

'No More Ghettos in America' by Stanley Winston. One of John Peel's favourite tunes, I'm one of the few people to actually have a version of this long-deleted masterpiece - on cassette, remember them? - taped off Peely's show when I were a lad. To quote Revered Uncle Johnny on said tape: "It's one of those songs that sounds so good you think your jaw's going to lock!".

'Another girl, another planet' - Only Ones

Another Girl Another Planet might be played at my funeral. Possibly. If anyone remembers. And yes it's definitely about Perrett's heroin addiction:

"You get under my skin

I don't find it irritating..."
