fct Posted February 18, 2004 Report Share Posted February 18, 2004 Alan Dicks built a team based on a solid defence which was what gt them up. Remember those two away matches when they went up, at Sunderland and West Brom? West Brom in particular, threw everything at city who held out and then hit them on the break to go 1-0 up at half time. Second half it was backs to the wall but City kept them out.... one commentator said it was the best defence since the Alamo, but I'd rather say it was the best defence since Rorke's Drift, since the Alamo fell and Rorke's Drift didn't.
