***We may find we need to stick 10 past an already demoralised Swindle on Saturday. Go on lads, go for it!!!***

In the table since the run ended we have now moved 4 points clear at the top and average 2 points per game over this period. If we manage to replicate that over next season it would be worth 92 points.

Table:

(Played, Points, GD)

Bristol City ..... 24 48 +23

Southend ....... 24 44 +18

-----------------------------------------

Colchester ...... 24 42 +9

Brentford ....... 24 38 +11

Nottm Forest .. 24 37 +12

Oldham .......... 24 36 +4

-----------------------------------------

Gillingham ....... 24 36 +1

Doncaster ....... 24 36 -1

Barnsley ......... 24 35 +8

Huddersfield .... 24 33 +4

MK Dons ........ 24 33 -16

Blackpool ........ 24 32 -

Rotherham ..... 24 32 -4

Bradford ........ 24 31 -1

Scunthorpe ..... 24 31 -2

Tranmere ....... 24 30 +1

Yeovil ............. 24 30 -

Swindon ......... 24 29 -9

Port Vale ........ 24 28 -6

Swansea ........ 24 26 -3

-----------------------------------------

Bournemouth . 24 23 -7

Chesterfield ..... 24 23 -8

Hartlepool ....... 24 22 -11

Walsall ........... 24 18 -22

In the overall table we now have the 3rd best record in the division in the time GJ has been manager. I don't care what people say about hand grenades, to take over a team second from bottom and having just suffered a 7-1 reverse and turn them into the 3rd best performing team in the division during your entire time at the club is worthy of nothing but praise.

Table:

Colchester ...... 35 63 +17

Southend ....... 35 61 +22

-----------------------------------------

Bristol City ..... 35 57 +14

Brentford ....... 35 57 +14

Nottm Forest .. 35 55 +14

Doncaster ....... 35 55 +4

-----------------------------------------

Barnsley ......... 35 54 +13

Huddersfield .... 35 53 +9

Oldham .......... 35 51 +1

Gillingham ....... 35 50 -6

Swansea ........ 35 48 +7

Bradford ........ 35 47 -

Chesterfield ..... 35 44 -2

MK Dons ........ 35 43 -15

Blackpool ........ 35 42 -2

Port Vale ........ 35 42 -7

Yeovil ............. 35 41 -4

Bournemouth . 35 40 -4

Tranmere ....... 35 39 -3

Scunthorpe ..... 35 39 -10

-----------------------------------------

Swindon ......... 35 39 -15

Hartlepool ....... 35 38 -12

Rotherham ..... 35 37 -12

Walsall ........... 35 32 -21

Interesting stuff Madger, he's looking like a very sound appointment right now. It's really hard not to be enthusiastic about this club now, which I never thought would be the case this season.

I'd also be interested to see how other managers faired in their first 35 games, and how their initiation compared to Gary Johnson's.

My only concern is that if he carries on the way he's going other clubs might take a rather unhealthy interest. I read today that Barlow at Forest doesn't want their job. They can hardly have failed to notice our dramatic progress.

Agree totally. But why is it that faced with statistics as impressive as that, there will still be so many moaning whingers on this site?

I don't see them, Robbored looks optimistic aswell so I'm happy! :dunno:

To be fair, Barlow's been saying that since the day they made him (joint) caretaker. If I were Forest I'd just extend the period he's "caretaker" for ;)
