sparkyboy72
Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson has released goalkeeper Phil Senior. Senior's current deal at The Galpharm Stadium expired at the end of the season and Jackson has decided to search for a more experienced goalkeeper to challenge Paul Rachubka for the number one shirt. The 23-year-old made his first-team debut last season and was also involved in The Terriers' FA Cup run, including their third round tie against Chelsea. Jackson admits the decision to axe Senior was a tough one, but believes the player will benefit from more first-team action. "It was an incredibly difficult decision to make," Jackson told the club's official website.
