Richy P
I thought it was an honest and fair assesment of the year. Pleased with the stance he had taken with some players, as obviously Bristol City has to come first. His talk about discipline was particularly interesting as the club did need, and has needed for a long time to be for someone to place their authority on both playing and mental attitude of the players, we now have this and are better for it, our form proved that at the end of last year.GJ is definately the man to take this club foward, it may not be this year but now we have the correct base, both administrative and playing, to take the club to the next level. bh_red
Also mentioned the Easter deal, fee and player terms were agreed, but confirmed that basically GJ didn't like the players attitude and ended the deal there.....breath of fresh air for SLThere is a planned meeting with Luke Wilkshire for pre-season to have contract talks with the player, SL has no idea if he will turn up, but is very hopeful, though contact talks at xmas between SL and Luke's agent was after silly money.Talked bout Fontaine, Fulham wanted 20k, but Steve said there was no chance of paying that much for him so the few is less than that.Clayton Fortune wasn't offered a deal and leaves on a free, because simply......he wasn't wanted at the club, so they didn't bother offering him any sort of deal incase he accepted it. I missed the show yesterday, made interesting listening. I reckon the third prospective manager Mr A.N Other was MArtin Allen, makes the abuse he got at Brentford even funnier.
