Bow_Legged_Chicken
What do you think about this malarky about substitutes. Personally i agree with it completely. Afterall isn't the whole point of friendlies to experiment things to see if they will work in a proper match. In a proper match could you change your whole team? NO. Whats the point in a friendly if our proper team is only going to play 45 mins. Its all because these jumped up Premiership clubs are being fussy and ask for their players to only be played for 45 mins and the fool Sven is he agrees to it. Bow_Legged_Chicken
Mr. Blatter is in England discussing a new rule which would mean that in international firendlies you could only make a maximum of 5 subs.

Thats Pointless i feel. Whats the point in testing out new players if your only allowed 5? I Feel 7 subs would be fine, maybe 9, but not 5. Bow_Legged_Chicken
Yes, but whats the point in friendlies if its not to test how your team would play together in a proper competitive match? If they was playing in a World Cup match would he be allowed to change virtually the whole tema then? No. So he should use the games as a accurate practice match for the real thing. Otherwise they are just pointless and should be used for our young players to develop.
bcfc seattle
most of the friendlies that USA plays they play with 7 subs limit seems to work well, they usually use 5 of them and save the other two just in case or to waste time at the end of the game
