The 24-year-old former Reading front man was released by Bristol City boss Gary Johnson at the end of last season. Holland, who is in charge at Crewe's training ground while boss Dario Gradi and the first-team squad are in Portugal, said: "Bas has looked lively. From the BBC - Is it April 1st?
