Red_Mat Posted July 17, 2006 Report Share Posted July 17, 2006 I think it's fair enough that he hasn't signed Pearce, Abbey or Gindre up for this season.There's no point having someone on the books if you don't believe they're good enough to do a job. I like the fact that GJ isn't settling for second best and is only going for players he feels will take us forward.And obviously Phillips is one of those he feels won't, as well. He's better than many first choice keepers in this league and he's been deemed as not good enough here.It's the same principal with the left sided player, he reconises we need one but one that will fit in and the right one.
