Bristol City Sambas

I'm hoping Samba will show he's still got it, and the boy's only 20, but he got me thinking as to whether you could make a City team of eagerly anticipated who never quite fulfilled that potential. I'm always getting excited about some new prospect only to find he goes to Forest Green. From my memory...

GK Tony Malessa

CB Kev Amankwaah

CB Clayton Fortune

CB Scott Paterson

LW Aaron Brown

RW Ryan Harley (Tinman killed him)

MD Alex Meechan

MD Ben Cleverley (captain of the reserves I think)

MD Dwayne Plummer (immense debut)

ST David Seal (remember THAT Blackpool goal? He still talks about it, apparently)

ST Marvin Brown (obviously)

a bit harsh on aaron brown me thinks...and kev they could've been good were it not for injuries.

Meech was/is a sriker.

When did anyone rate clayton? Only Billy Davies in hs career has thought anthing of him.

Maybe Dominc Barclay instead of Aaron Brown then, although not sure what position he played either.

I thought Meechan was touted as an attacking midfielder at some point, but guess I'm wrong there. Apologies.

I know this board has a big anti-Fortune thing, but I thought when he first started playing he showed quite a lot of potential. Then he became rubbish.

Anyone remember Abdul Kamara? He seemed to be a good prospect in the early/mid nineties, then just disappeared into obscurity like so many others.....
