Don't get me wrong your posts can be extremly useful, but for some reason you remind me of Roy Crooper from corrie.

I've already been to Spain this year, but funilly enough I didn't make listening to the radio a top priority.

Are you off to the dales?

I would love to visit Holmfrith(last of the summer wine country)

Yes Ted, Hubberholme with it's famous pub, The George, and it's world renowned church with tiny mice carved on the seats.

Not going to Holmforth (frith?) but previously visited the site of the original Emmerdale Farm - Arncliffe - which has these days reverted to a tiny, sleepy, unspoilt hamlet surrounded by hills.

Anyway, i don't go there for the famous T.V. places though 'Herriot Country' is indeed stunning.

No, i'll be striding up Malham Cove, possibly Pen y Ghent. and certainly across the traditional colourful and ancient hay meadows of Muker and Keld.

Added to that the magnificent limestone pavements at Ingleborough, the countless miles of amazingly constructed traditional dry stone walls all around, the grandeur of Askrigg Moor, Semerwater, the thundering waterfalls of Wensleydale and the enchanting rippling streams of Langstrothsdale and you have the very best countryside that England has to offer. :englandsmile4wf:

Don't tell anyone though. ;)
