Admin Ian M Posted July 27, 2006 Admin Report Share Posted July 27, 2006 Just been looking at the latest team photocall and noticed that we now have a psychologist, fitness coach and (for what I believe to be the first time) a nutrionist expert.A few years ago I recall there being a load of cutbacks where these sort of roles disappeared.I can therefore only presume that as part of GJ's "top to bottom" review of the club, he informed SL that these people were needed.I have no point to raise (other than I'd tend to agree with the theory), just thought I'd mention it as it appears to have hitherto gone unnoticed on otib. fRed
I think SL's learning from his mistakes.
lukejones2
As I said at the time, Brian Jones (I believe the psychologist was) was a massive loss for the club. In particular, check how Scotty M's form dipped and Chris Roberts just looked.. well.. awful when BJ left.
Port Said Red
I noticed in the couple of games that I have been to that these people also seem to be out on the pitch working with the players. Maybe where GJ has been clever is in getting in coaches with specialist talents rather than just specialists. In that way they have more value to the payroll.
