Betelgeuse Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 Just got back from the game, very good performance!Ratings:Basso - 7 Not much to do but did well when called up on, kicking is improving!Orr - 8 Solid performance, look good going forward, great run and 1-2 with Jevo for his goalWoodman - 7 Only played the first half, look more confident with his passing and running with the ballFontaine - 7 Did well in first half at centre back, moved to left back in 2nd half, look a bit uncomfortable, great long throw though!Carey - 8 Mr dependable, very good displayMurray - 6 Didnt seem like his old self, some poor passes and crosses and missed a very good chance to scoreCotterill - 7 In and out of the game, look for the pass or the cross on a few occasions which is good!Noble - 9 (MOTM) Very good display, ran the midfield, great passing and movement, allways looked for the ballSkuse - 7 a bit quiet but flashes of his abilityBrooker - 8 bit quiet in the first half but once he scored he was back to his old self, 2 well taken goalsJevons - 8 Did well, very skillful, good passing, very aware, good goal!Subs (selected)Showumni - 9 Came on on the left wing, very impressive, set up 2 goals, could of scored, very pacy, looks like left wing suits him!Williams - 8 Also impressive, came on to the right wing, skillfull and pacy, also could of scoredMcCombe - 7 No nonsence from him, pretty safe defender but did miss a few headersKeogh - 7 came on as right back, did well, should of scored near the end!Hennessey (gk) 7 look confidnet when claiming crosses, good long throw and very long kick! Exactually how I would rate the players!Another note is that Orr's distrebution vs Southampton was awfull, Today it was improved and a bit more effective.When Woodman came off and Fonts went to left back, that was when they created a few chances and hit the bar, Woody is a excellent player , solid, good going forward, can pass and is calm in all situations!Looks good, Brooker getting sharper and almost at his best, Jevo looking impressive and Showumni looking fantastic out on the left, outstanding ball along the front of the defence for Jevos goal.Good work out and good to see the goals flying in along with some superb quick passing football with Noble looking a class above everyone on the pitch.BRING ON THE NEW SEASON! He made two fantastic saves, especially when he tipped it onto the cross bar. I know he made a mistake, but he is still a damn good keeper. Lets hope he has learnt as he made up for it today. SUPER REDS Posted July 29, 2006 Report Share Posted July 29, 2006 Agreewith you.worriedabout cotterill and Murray both are not playing as good as they can,we have to get men down the flanks especially in a tight game to get crossess in for Jevsand Brooker,I thought Jennison Williams in the short spell he was on did alot and looked sharp and livened up the game,I would be very tempted to start him on the left or right and drop either cotterill or murray Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
