Another Player Arrested For Fighting

According to the WDP today Olly Barkley, the Bath rugby player, has been arrested along with two others on suspicion of affray after a fight in Newquay that put a man in hospital with a broken jaw. The police had to use pepper spray to break it all up. The fight happened on Sunday night.

It will be interesting to see how this case develops compared to the case involving our players. My guess is that the police will conclude there will be no case to answer and it will be dropped.

They'll probably get away with it as the Judge will out it down to 'rugby high jinx', just like their supporters who get lashed rhen strip naked and drink each others urine, whilat everyone looks on laughing, saying "those rugby fans are a crazybunch". If football fans did the same, the outcry would be deafening!

Believe that if you want to, the truth is rather different. I went to Edgeley Park Stockport last season to see Bath v Sales, they sold Beer IN THE GROUND, there was no segregation and not hint of trouble. It isn't rugby fans that throw chairs and have police escorts to and from stations

I couldn't even afford Police Ka, let alone an Escort!
