CodeRed Posted August 29, 2006 Report Share Posted August 29, 2006 I'm amazed that Johnson has not signed a keeper yet - It's midday and the team will have already leftfor Northampton so presumably he's going to go with Basso and the acadamy kid Ballard (who really did look like a young kid sat on the bench at the last 2 games).Johnson said after the Blackpool game that he had 10 days to get someone in and had "options" and would definately be getting someone in, morover after the Cheltenham game he was critical of Basso (unusal for Johnson to be critical of individuals) and said that he would be looking at "who's making the mistakes".So - what is he playing at? These days it's getting common to see a keeper get sent off , with the law regarding denying a scoring opportunity - a 50/50 challenge and the forward dives over & it's penalty and keeper off. plus Basso has IIRC left the field through injury and had to be replaced a couple of times.A big risk to start tonight without experienced coverAnyone heard any news of a keeper joining?
