PhatWill
Just watching BBC South down here now, they are covering the Saints/Hoddle saga but no mention of Sturrock. Wishful thinking I reckon.
bristolcityup
Yes it has to be sturrock, Hoddle has bottled it as reports on Ananova, 2nd choice was Sturrock so I think we now know the Pastie boys have no manager!!!!

Dave L
There's a long thread about it on the Plymouth rivals site, but it sounds to me like someone has been spreading a bit of misinformation.
Port Said Red
There's a long thread about it on the Plymouth rivals site, but it sounds to me like someone has been spreading a bit of misinformation. Apparently a statement will appear on their website in the next hour...... Fingers crossed. Shouldn't the transfer window apply to Managers as well though. Guest Mr Snufflelufagus
Would this really make a difference if he left Plymouth. A couple of seasons back Mickey Adams got brighton top only to leave with Peter Taylor taking over and they still got promoted.

cider gliders
Peter Jones the Plymouth vice chairman being interviewed on Sky Sports says "It looks like Paul Sturrock will be the new manager of Southampton, but compansation must be settled first." So it looks like he is goin`!

Nogbad the Bad
Lets hope for confirmation. Any disruption for Plymouth at this stage is great news for City. They may be too settled for it to make the difference, but there again he may be vital to their success. They certainly weren't much kop before he went there. Guest redeyes25
The team that were going to be "out of sight by the time they play Plymouth" are now having to rely on disruption in order to acheive anything.. Getting desperate? I understand Sturrock leaving.. I am sure the salary would take anyone from Div2 to the Prem.. its the timing that stinks.. Getting desperate? I understand Sturrock leaving.. I am sure the salary would take anyone from Div2 to the Prem.. its the timing that stinks.. Why would we be getting desperate? At one time this season you were 12 points clear of us, and then we went ahead of you (albeit for a week or so). Why would we not be able to gain a further 5 points and overtake you? Taz
err... because you can't beat the bottom club at home maybe? Well...Ah sod it can't be bothered to argue with you. Did you actually read my intial post? Just in case you didn't, you have already gained 12 points, and overtook you, so I think that whilst we are four points behind we can catch you again. You haven't won the league yet.
