RedUn
The effect of signing Mark Robins when he became available last season was twofold. Everybody recognised the immediate impact he had on the field in terms of scoring goals when it mattered; less obvious was the effect his presence on the training ground had on the other strikers. Nothing boosts morale and confidence more than knowing someone is there who can turn the Ds into Ws; and what better way to learn the striker's art than by example from one who "has the T-shirt"? In recent weeks, I've queried who the specialist striker's coach is at the club, I've pointed out that the squad was admitted to be two players short *before* Murray and Rosenior left, and I've queried the leadership present in some parts of the team. It seems to me that acquiring the services such a class act, even if only on loan for a month/two, would go a long way to solving the current problems and is exactly what is needed right here right now ... anyone got a copy of Rothmans to see who might fit the bill?
