cheshire_red
Nine Leicester City footballers have been arrested by police in Spain after three women alleged they had been sexually attacked. The allegations were made at Alicante airport by the women, who were heading home to Germany after a holiday. One of the players was released on bail while the eight others remained in custody, police in Cartagena said. Officials said the women claimed the players forced their way into their hotel rooms. Relegation-threatened Leicester said on their website that the players were questioned after an incident at their training camp in La Manga. The statement read: "The club is cooperating fully with the authorities in their investigations." Leicester are second-from-bottom of the Premiership. City's chief executive Tim Davies is understood to have flown out to Spain to meet up with manager Micky Adams who was reported to have stayed with the players. The rest of the squad has flown back to England after cutting short their stay. DON'T NAME NAMES PLEASE
andy g
I think the names are pretty well known by now. Still, it looks like the spanish authorities are taking a strict line. They're locking three of the players up til the trial starts. Wonder how that will affect Leicesters chances of staying up...
