Claverham_Red
if one of them had to go i would rather see luke wilkshire away on international duty rather than tommy doherty because tommy is the man bristol city would miss the most in such an important game

NailseaRed
Tommy would prefer to play for us if he knew he would be missing such a huge game surely?
andy g
They're only playing friendlies, why don't we do what the premiership clubs always do and just tell Australia and N Ireland 'NO !' All you have to do is tell the two countries that players are injured and then you can play them in the important QPR match. This might sound like a joke, but I'm serious ! This is an incredibly important game for us and the club should be doing everything possible to keep hold of the players. Feebly saying - 'oh well, thats just bad luck' simply isnt good enough. 94th Minute
How many players have to be on international duty before we can call off a fixture
andy g
Three. (I suppose we could INVENT a country - like the 'Democratic Republic of Bedminster' and then claim that another one of our players has an important friendly fixture to play for them...) Mr Ed
The games are midweek. Luke may be in Greece on the Tuesday before the QPR game and Tommy in Estonia the following day. They'll only miss the QPR game if they pick up a knock. Seems like a bit of scaremongering to me.
Will Rollason
Tricky. These lads wont want to damage their prospects but we need them for this game.As Ed says they can probably do both as long as no knocks picked up. Danny is "talking" to associations. Since he came back,Doc has been inspired. Player I think we would miss most?
bobby
We'd definitely miss Tommy, need him in centre alongside Tins. Hopefully it'll just be a small disruption to their normal preparation, or we'll be able to persuade them that we need Tommy more than they do!
