downendcity
Lee Johnson has been allowed miss training so that he can attend the auditions at Drury Lane Theatre where they are casting for Hobbits in the stage production of Lord of the Rings. Potential applicants for the role should be under 5ft 7ins (170cm) and aged 16 to 35. Producers say hairy toes and feet are a "distinct advantage". I'm not sure if hairy feet run in the Johnson family ( pardon the pun!) and if they didn't have age restriction then Gary would have driven him down and had a go himself!Commenting on the possible move, GJ was quoted as saying " Lee has done a good job in central midfield at Ashton Gate, but he does need someone bigger and taller alongside to do the hard graft and win tackles and headers. However, he can really make his size count in this new role". Asked about bringing in a loan signing to replace Lee J GJ said that the club had been tracking wee Jimmy Krankie for some time and felt he could step straight into Lee's shoes ( and short trousers, for that matter). Look out for Bilbo Baggins as the first name on the team sheet in future.

stortfordred
You beat me to it After Saturday, an audition for the part of the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk would be more appropriate. He certainly seemed to have his ten league boots on. He was everywhere.
