headhunter
Just a thought but I wonder how forum readers would have felt if DW had been approached for and taken the job with Saints ? Sure we would have been calling him disloyal, a judas etc. but what effect would it have had on the team ? Some on here say we will [hopefully] get promotion despite Danny Wilson not because of him. Would we have felt comfortable with Barlow at the helm .... maybe an early step up for Tinman and Taylor or would we have sought divine intervention from Hoddle perhaps ?? bcfc seattle
Lets see they would have to buyout the last two years of his contract and maybe a fee of some sort to sign DW, I'd be happy if they did.
richieb
I personally feel it would spur the players on to prove that the manager was wrong to leave the club and prove the point by going on to clinch the title. I hurts me to say that this well could be what happens with Plymouth. I fear they will thrash Notts C on Saturday. Remember when Brighton lost Micky Adams only to replace him with Peter Taylor and stroll to the league title? I agree with Tom, Sturrock leaving will give players a spur & I too see them kicking on, starting with Notts County. 2nd Place is still up for grabs.
