Uncle Ern Posted March 7, 2004 Report Share Posted March 7, 2004 On the way back from Stockport we were discussing how many two-bit teams from small places were in a higher division than us and surviving on smaller crowds. Why have we not been able to compete with the likes of the mighty Crewe,Walsall,Rotherham,Gillingham for so long ?? I've supported City since 1963 and apart from the Div 1 years have suffered the under achievement season after season. Answers on a postcard to Mr Wilson please. What gets my goat about it all is we have long league history (one of underacheiement, granted) yet find ourselves playing a LEAGUE GAME on friday against a side that up until 2 years ago were non-league. No disrespect to R&D intended. We are where we deserve to be. Simple as. You'd think we would get used to repeated failure, still don't stop it being an embarrassment.
