cheshire_red
Sometime ago I mentioned Tommy Black was available and that Blackpool had been tryingto sign him on loan:Crystal Palace midfielder Tommy Black could be on his way to Brentford on loan. The 27-year-old has fallen out of favour at Selhurst Park and under-fire Eagles boss Peter Taylor is happy to let him move on in search of first-team football.Blackpool were in the hunt to sign him earlier in the season but the player was not keen on a move up north as he did not want to unsettle his family.A switch to Griffin Park does appeal though and Bees boss Leroy Rosenior is poised to swoop. I'm not so sure, how many years ago was it we had him on loan and what has he done since. Looked good here but doesn't seem to have progressed at all. Looked good here but doesn't seem to have progressed at all.I don't really know.Just going by what I remember tbf.If he can afford to turn down work in our own division then he must still have ability, and we do need a winger. Please don't make me have to explain my comment's Nogbad old chap, my usual predominant point on these things is the second one. Fan speculation on possible transfer's tends to make me laugh, I don't know why. He was good though.

Blackpool's in our division though, or have they gone down? or do I need to go to bed? (Dunno whether Brentford came in before or after or what?) Like I said previously, I really don't know. This is the sort of stuff that Bristol Boy and Nibor usually just kinda hoover up and leave me thinking ''Hmm, well, ok''Nanight Nogbad Edit - He was always on a contract at Palace whatever, don't mind me. dezgimed
This is the guy who single handedly destroyed Southend (Champions 05/06) at Roots Hall last season, the same Southend who beat Man U last night..Quite a player. How did we miss that one?! robins72
He was great for us back then, but he's not turning down work in our division if he's going to Brentford. I remember he featured in the 0-0 draw against Wycombe at home. I'm sure it was our first season relegated from what is now the championship. Therefore I would stab a guess at 99/00 season. rayer
You are correct Robins. A cold Tues night as well, and when his name was announced, everyone was like Who ??? But he played well, the crowd were singing ' sign him up' but if I remember correctly, we then started playing him out of position, and then he moved on. Whale Eye Beef Hooked
He is a bit like Goodfellow or even a Grant Smith.Got the potential, Goes to a club, plays a couple of really good games then fails to settle. That is why he has been on loan a lot.
exiledinwatford
That nasty chap Pulis played him up front on his own away at Brentford near a Christmas time. The one where we all were chanting Pulis for Bournemouth (or somewhere not as nice!)
rayer
hahaha i was there for that one' Pulis for Portsmouth 'Was that the same one where Goodridge was taking a throw in and a fat Brentford fan knocked the ball out of his hands. We started to rip into this guy and the police eventually escorted him out of the ground.
