I think thats about it now until January. An extra bit of creativity going forward could have made us all but uncatchable, but since Cotterill left it hasnt happened. You hope that this doesnt come back and bite us in the rear, but this is city we are talking about, and past seasons suggest this one aint going to be any different.

Nick Wright (Birmingham City) has just joined Northampton Town on loan for a month, not much difference between Birmingham - Northampton and Birmingham - Bristol, looks like GJ didn't want him after all.

Our squad has not got enough quality up front or wide and that is what is going to cost us a top 2 finish, MARK MY WORDS.

agree 100% this will cost us big time, especially if sicknote or Brooker fall by the wayside again.

Sorry it just aint good enough from a strikers point of view.We do not have enough cover up front.

Bristol to Birmingham 87.2miles - 1hr 40mins

Northampton to Birmingham 55miles - 1 hour

bit of a difference, main reason he left City was because of his grandfather dying and he wanted to be at home to support his mother,

going to Northampton means he can easily commute daily on hour a day is nothing, commuting to Bristol is a bloody nightmare!

Johnson said he was going to extend the loan prior to that happening, perhaps, just perhaps it's not totally city's fault that Wright didn't come back? perhaps he wanted to stay closer to home? and perhaps a move back to Bristol wasn't the right thing for him?

It is not always city's fault! however too many people love to jump on the "lets hammer the club bandwagon" without thinking things through.

and christ, only a week or so back people were hammering Johnson for signing players like Wright who they didn't feel were good enough for our club,

they are dammed if they do, dammed if they don't

exactly........they moaned when we signed him (apparently not good enough) they moaned when he played (still not good enough) and now he has joined another club they are moaning because we have not resigned him!

club can't win whatever they do! what can they do? :dunno:

Not even Gary Johnson agreed with that because he tried to get Holt in!

But the point is will they stay fit? - the problem is we don't have cover, it's cost us points, and we're taking a gamble that could have been avoided.

If both or possibly even one got injured again, couldn't we get someone in on an emergency loan? :dunno:

And when they are not fit (which is and always will be most of the time) we will get results like Tranmere Rovers, Brentford, Oldham Athletic, Nottingham Forest and Yeovil Town (over a quarter of our games where a decent striker would have made the difference).

As for Nick Wright at least he was another option from the bench or would you rather have the second coming of 'God' and ruin the club again.

Another thing, at least Nick Wright had a good attitude unlike Jennison Myrie-Williams.

Its all bloody doom and gloom on this site

 Smile though your heart is aching,

Smile even though its breaking,

when there are clouds in the sky you must try.

If you smile through your pain and sorrow,

smile and maybe tomorrow,

you'll see that life is just worth while,

If you just smile!

There are worse positions in the league we could be in. :city:

So does this mean that MS will be back at City now that no deal was made with Yeovil? :dunno:

in theroy yes, however he was NEVER going to be able to offically stay at Yeovil after the 3month loan period,

however if he signs for them within the next week as expected he will be their player, but can't play until Jan
