Used to serve him when i worked in bedminster weatherspoons a few years ago. always like his guiness always out of a mug and always got the rod stewart jokes aswell. Dolman Block B Posted December 7, 2006 Report Share Posted December 7, 2006 He is damn funny though."There's only one Rod Stewart, one Rod Stewart"Browner going to tell you a great story.Remember the Stewart gig at the Gate?Well me, the Mrs plus 4 other couples got in the Pump House at about 3pm for early drinks.There were 8 jocks down, absolutelty smashed out their trolleys at the pub.Spike came over and was talking to me by the bar as i know him really well.The next bit is a classic.One of the jocks asked what Rod was doing in the pub and was i his agent?Ofcourse i said yes, and he asked if they could have their pics with him.One by one i allowed them down (don't forget they were totally smashed)Spike stood there like an angel and everyone had thier pics taken.I was trying not to laugh, but by now the wife and our friends had broken into "yer in my heart yer in my soul, you,ll be my breath till i grow old"They really thanked me, shaking hands, loving every minute.The best bit was Spike had a mate there who was built like a brick shit house.Eventually he ushered Spike out the pub, to where i don't know, but to this day i swear the jocks think they had met the man himself.What a night...Arn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
