Secret Santa

The Fat Controller

Recommended Posts

I got my secret santa gift today, the person who gave it to me obviously knows me well as I got a Bristol City Mug mat, and a City keyring.

Go me, as for you Browner, how bout one of them sets that come in a mug, they usually have hot chocolate or marshmallows in them. Failing that, go to Lush and buy some yummy smelly stuff.

Sodding make her some then!!!

VODKA JELLY

Vodka Jelly is not hard to make, it's just a case of getting your quantities right! If you don't, it just won't set.

Any jelly mix will do fine, strawberry and raspberry are obvious favourites. Any brand of Vodka will also do just fine.Half eaten Vodka Jelly!

Basically you mix the jelly as you would normally, only using 80% of the recommended liquid. Substitute 40% of the liquid for vodka, and the remaining 40% hot water, and mix until all jelly has melted away. Pour into ice cube containers, shot glasses, or a bowl will suffice and allow to set in the fridge. It depends on your fridge, but a few hours should be fine - but make well in advance.

Next is the fun part....drinking it. Well it's not so much drinking it as letting it slide down your throat. Don't worry you won't taste the vodka in it, the jelly is nice though. Don't eat too much, remember how much vodka is in it

I cant make it and give it too her. That'd be harsh.

Ive made it a few times before but its never set particularly well.

Thanks for the help though.

Excellent.

I like it.

Problem is, its not a secret as it should be.

Then again, what do i care, she's not buying for me!

How about a lock of your hair tucked in a match box painted green with a hand written message that says' "Soon my lovely, soon."?

:D

I think I'm going to do both ideas. Think that should cover it.

Thats a gem.

Got any more?

It may be a little late for some of these but you could consider...

1) Collecting your ear wax & making a scale sculpture of teh Clifton Suspension bridge.

2) Get some poster paint & some paper & do her one of those 'hand print' pictures like I get from my nephew every few weeks

3) Peel a bit of wallpaper from each pub you visit over the next few days & then put them all in a frame & give that to her.

4) Write her a poem about uncooked sausages

Hope these help.

I think Jay should start his own sub forum, 'Ask Jay' as he obviously has a talent for unusual gift ideas!

Maybe people could donate funds, towards the running of the forum , in relation to the effect their unique suggested gift had!!! ;)
