Much Better

Tales From The Front

The Vale game was considering the terriable conditions, much more like it.

Murray as has been posted was excellant, keeping wider than the previous two games and derserving of his goal, Enoch produced another performance full of effort and endevour. The ball was played to feet a lot more and although JMW can be frustrating I thought he played in the main very well and gave the side more balance.

It was refreshing was that the first time for weeks we actualy saw players getting behing the defence to the dead ball line, resulting in one goal and a miss that Brooker knows that he should have scored. Also McAllister's switch of play to Murray was almost worth the admission fee alone, an intelligent use of space rather than the percentage hoofs seen of late. One final obsevation was Cole Skuses cameo performance in central midefield, showing what powerful running from central midfield can do and was good to see. Something that Carey has worked hard to do from central defence.

Yes, well done City very much better, the game showed how City will win promotion this season surely. Any reverting to the tatics of previous games with the present squad, will be criminal. I hope the purse strings will be opened for a mobile central midfielder, another option wide left, and more competition up front as we need more goals.

Happy New Year and hopefully a very sucessful 2007!
