brizzlered1
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/6287163.stmSwansea have recruited Huddersfield striker Pawel Abbott on a two and a half year, £150,000 deal.Shame really - thought he'd have been good for us. I hate to say this, but that might be the boost that swansea needed.
HanhamRed
Seems to be quite a good price for a proven goalscorer, although granted he has never proved himself above League 1 level, and I suppose Johnson will be looking to buy with half an eye on next season.Do you think he was ever in the frame to come here? Too similar to Jevons in my opinion, and we seem to going after pacier strikers.
CodeRed
He always looked dangerous when we've played Huddersfield - a good buy at £150k I think.Interesting that Swansea's first target was Darren Byfield and they only moved for Abbott when Byfield/Millwall turned them down.CodeRed

BCFC Matthaus
Well Swansea have got rid of a couple of strikers lately so no doubt they needed to be replaced. Reckon Abbott got more chance of success this season with Swansea than Huddersfield. Although whether it worth sacraficing lack of success with living in wales is another issue. Personally I'd take mid table mediocrity any time!!
Bristol Boy
Knight to MK Dons-So much for Championship clubs being interested although he'll do well next to McCleod if they hang on to him.Fallon-Plymouth.Leaves them with Abbot-Trundle-Akinfenwa.To thin, that is, isn't it?Needs someone else and they've had a bid turned own for anotheR striker whose name escapes me.Still, if we can get Brooker fit-Keep ES fit-Hang on to Andrews-Repair Jevons-Develop Myrie Williams.......and bring in at least one other, then fair play to GJ!!
