XBOXMAN69
Did anyone else notice the poor state of the pitch today! No doubt something to do with the rugby being played there.Ashton Gate normally has a excellent playing surface for football, and its just proof that we must not let rugby be played there. Nibor
The state of the pitch had nothing whatsoever to do with the rugby. It had to do with the massive amount of rain we've had.Besides, the club have already said if they play there more often we will have the same sort of pitch put in that they have at the Madjeski. madmax
You can't blame the state of the pitch on one game of rugby played 4 weeks ago. The weather over the past few weeks has been extreemly wet and the grass has probably started to die off as the ground is so saturated.MM
XBOXMAN69
I'm sure the rugby hasnt helped even with the rain weve had. Rugby doesnt help the overall state of the pitch.
brizzlered1
After Wednesday we don't play at AG for 10 days so that gives the groundstaff lots of time to sort it out for the rest of the season. The bad weather has hit us hard and compared to some other pitches its not that bad, but yes, it could be better.

downendcity
Have you seen the state of the pitch at Madejski ?? Its worse than ours.Agree Wilksy,Saw the Madjeski pitch opn MOTD a week or so ago and it looked pretty dire, but I also noted that on the same MOTD the worst pirches were all those shared with Rugby teams. We are a good footballing side and a good pitch helps our game so the last thing we want is to have a ploughed field as a consequence of a money spinning deal with the Rugby Club. bh_red
don't forget the fact that since the start of the xmas period 26th Dec - 27th Dec, there has been actually 6 games played at home and alot of bad weather!majority of pitches that hold Rugby/Football have better quality pithces that can cope with both sports, however for most the amount of hard rain in recent weeks very few have been able to cope
