Party Pooper! :P

When St Georges Day is recognised and celebrated the way St Patricks Days is , I won't have any problems joining in!

It will never be allowed to. Celebrating st georges day is seen as racist and anyway st patricks day is totally comercialised so the muppets in ireland can sell more of that god-awful #### they call guiness.

I'm english and would never celebrate an irish day and wish they would ban it in this country.

Well that told me! I'm not going to argue with you EDR, I've seen you!

I hope on 23rd April I will be the first person on here to wish you a happy St. Georges Day. :Party12:

I'm with EDR on this one.

We've already got grand plans for the 23rd April. Proper English food, plenty of flags (inc. a special balloon one if we find the right coloured balloons), a barbie if the weather is good, a game of footie on the Downs, and proper alcohol!

Not that any of it is planned to annoy my Welsh flatmate, nooo....

Well I'm half Irish and proud of it. I never used to be mind so maybe thats why I'm making up for lost time.

My children could represent England, Ireland or Scotland because of their Grandparents , if ever they are talented enough to.

Be proud of who you are and don't let anyone tell you different!

Just because we beat you, just because we beat you la-l-la-la-la-la :P

Surely you aren't bitter over 19-13?!

Yes it's over-commercialised nower days, but it's celebrated for the right reason, like most other countries on the World choose to. If the people of this country want to celebrate they should bloody well do so - don't worry about the bunch of plonkers on the green seats in London - what they going to do? arrest 40 million English people?

I Loved St Patricks Day, Being Half Irish, i had a quality day, touring a few pubs with me old man.

I Wish though that St Georges Day was taken as serious as St Patricks Day is in Ireland as on St Georges Day, No One knows its on. Why Not a Bank Holiday, something special, to celebrate our patronte Saint.
